Fabio Wardley Suspended After Heavy Defeat by Daniel Dubois

LONDON: British professional boxer Fabio Wardley has reportedly been suspended from competition following a heavy defeat against fellow Briton Daniel Dubois at London’s O2 Arena.

The rematch ended in the second round after two minutes and 21 seconds when Wardley’s trainer, Ben Davison, threw in the towel to stop the fight and prevent further punishment.

Wardley managed to get through the opening round, but Dubois launched a sustained attack in the second, leaving his opponent struggling to respond. Wardley reportedly landed only four punches during the one-sided contest.

Following the technical knockout (TKO) defeat, Wardley faces a mandatory suspension under British boxing regulations. According to the report, boxers who lose by TKO are subject to a minimum 28-day suspension under the rules of the British Boxing Board of Control.

The stoppage came after Wardley endured a difficult second round, with his corner deciding to end the contest for his protection.
