According to an FBR notification, taxpayers who were unable to submit their returns by the previous deadline have been given additional time to complete the filing process.
The FBR exercised its powers under Section 214A of the Income Tax Ordinance to extend the filing deadline to October 15.
The extension was granted following requests from traders’ organisations and tax bars seeking additional time for taxpayers to file their returns.
The decision provides taxpayers with an additional 15 days to submit their income tax returns and complete the required filing process.
