ISLAMABAD: Federal ministers have been assigned specific responsibilities to oversee the distribution of additional relief supplies in flood-affected districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The decision comes as part of intensified efforts to provide immediate assistance to those impacted by recent floods.

Federal Minister Amir Muqam will supervise relief distribution in Shangla, while Federal Minister for Power Division Owais Leghari has been tasked with Buner.

Federal Minister Sardar Yousuf will oversee operations in Mansehra, and Special Assistant Mubarak Zeb will manage relief activities in Bajaur.

Previously, Federal Minister Amir Muqam visited the flood-hit areas to monitor relief activities and assess the distribution of aid supplies.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), along with the Pakistan Army, other government agencies, and NGOs, are actively engaged in relief operations. The Prime Minister himself is supervising NDMA’s relief efforts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Additional trucks carrying relief supplies, including ration, tents, and medicines, are being sent to affected districts. The supplies will be handed over to the respective district administrations for distribution among the victims.
