FIA Arrests Two Proclaimed Offenders from UAE

ISLAMABAD: The FIA National Central Bureau (NCB) Interpol has arrested two proclaimed offenders wanted in murder cases from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and brought them back to Pakistan.

The arrested suspects, identified as Saifullah and Shahid Mahmood, were apprehended in the UAE and transferred to Islamabad Airport.

Both suspects were wanted by Punjab Police in separate murder cases. Saifullah had been absconding since 2017 and was wanted by Sargodha Police in a murder case, while Shahid Mahmood had been wanted by Faisalabad Police since 2009 in a murder case.

The FIA NCB Interpol issued Red Notices for the arrest of both suspects. Upon their arrival in Islamabad, FIA Immigration officials handed them over to Punjab Police authorities.

The arrest and repatriation were made possible through close coordination between Interpol Islamabad and Interpol Abu Dhabi.
