Argentina midfielder Leandro Paredes has been handed a 10-match suspension and fined $90,000, while teammate Nahuel Molina has been suspended for seven matches and fined the same amount.

FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee took the action after investigating incidents involving players and officials from both teams following the final, played between Spain and Argentina on July 19 at the New York New Jersey Stadium.

Thiago Almada and Pablo Martín Páez Gavira have each received one-match suspensions and $30,000 fines. Argentina team official Roberto Ayala has been suspended for three matches and fined $30,000.

FIFA has also fined the Argentine Football Association a total of $321,000 for multiple violations linked to the post-match incidents.

Argentina have additionally been ordered to play their next two home matches at 50 percent stadium capacity. However, the sanction for one of those matches has been suspended.

The disciplinary action follows a report submitted by the Disciplinary and Ethics Prosecutor appointed to investigate the incidents that occurred after the World Cup final.
