Five armymen martyred in IED blast in Balochistan

Security forces also kill three terrorists in exchange of fire.

RAWALPINDI: Five armymen embraced martyrdom when an improvised explosive device planted along the roadside went off in Balochistan late on Saturday night.

The incident occured in the Baleidi area of Kech in Balochistan, according to a statement issued by the ISPR in Rawalpindi.

It said that after the explosion, there was an exchange of intense firing between security forces and the terrorists in which three terrorists were gunned down. 

Terrorist attacks on security forces have increased manifold in Khyber Pakthunkhwa and Balochistan in the recent months.

Most of these attacks are carried out by terrorists belonging to the banned TTP who are based in Afghanistan.
