Five killed, 20 injured in blast near police van

Police say at least 20 persons including policemen were injured in the incident.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: At least five people were killed in a blast near a police van at a bus station in Dera Ismail Khan, local authorities said.

Police said that the blast occured at the Tank bus terminal. Gunshots were also heard after the blast and it seemed the police van was the target of the blast. 

Scores of motorcycles were damaged in the blast. The blast also left at least 20 persons, including some policemen injured.

Police have confirmed that five persons lost their lives in the blast. Law enforcement agencies reached the spot and cordoned off the area. 

The dead bodies and injured persons were shifted to hospital.
