Five Killed, Two Injured Over Land Dispute in Khyber District

KHYBER: At least five people were killed and two others injured in a deadly exchange of fire between two rival groups over a land dispute in Khyber district, police said on Monday.

According to police officials, the incident took place on Frontier Road, where both sides opened fire during an escalation of tensions. As a result, five individuals lost their lives on the spot, while two others sustained injuries.

Rescue teams promptly shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Their condition is reported to be under observation.

Following the incident, the suspects fled the scene. Police have launched a search operation to apprehend those involved and further investigate the circumstances surrounding the clash.

Authorities stated that such disputes over land ownership remain a recurring issue in the region, often leading to violent confrontations.
