MUZAFFARABAD: Five residents of Leepa Valley have gone missing after being caught in severe snowfall while traveling on foot, prompting a large-scale search and rescue operation by the Pakistan Army.
According to local sources, the individuals set out from Reshian toward Leepa at around 1:00 PM. Due to intense snowfall and harsh weather conditions, they have not yet reached even the midway point of their journey, raising serious concerns among residents of the area.
Upon receiving information about their disappearance, local people immediately began search efforts. Following a public appeal, the Pakistan Army’s Leepa Guards also joined the operation and formally launched a rescue mission to locate the missing individuals.
Residents of Leepa Valley have appreciated the swift response of the Pakistan Army and expressed gratitude to the armed forces for initiating rescue operations under difficult weather conditions.
Search efforts are ongoing, and authorities remain hopeful that the missing persons will be located safely.
