PISHIN: Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Pishin district, killing five Terrorists, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In a statement issued on Monday, the military’s media wing said the operation was launched on the basis of credible intelligence regarding the presence of militants in the area. During the exchange of fire, troops effectively engaged the group using various weapons.
The ISPR said that one suicide bomber detonated himself during the intense firefight, while four other militants were killed by security forces. Weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials were recovered from their possession.
According to the statement, the militants had been involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region. A clearance operation is ongoing to eliminate any remaining threats in the area.
The military reiterated its commitment to continuing counterterrorism operations under the national security framework, vowing to eradicate militancy and ensure lasting peace in the country.
