FO Condemns India’s Remarks on Counter-Terror Operations

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office spokesperson has strongly condemned the remarks of India’s Ministry of External Affairs regarding Pakistan’s targeted actions against terrorist hideouts and support bases inside Afghanistan, calling them “not only absurd and unwarranted but also shamefully hypocritical.”

Responding to media queries about Pakistan’s stance, Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said in a press statement that India’s active support and sponsorship of terrorist groups operating from Afghan soil, including Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan, are well documented.

“Therefore, India’s frustration at the dismantling of its terrorist networks in Afghanistan, as reflected in such statements, is quite understandable,” he added.

The spokesperson further accused India, a serial violator of human rights and international law, of illegally occupying Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in violation of the UN Charter and relevant UN Security Council resolutions, and of perpetrating state terrorism in the occupied territory.–APP
