FO Spokesman Shafqat Ali Khan Appointed Ambassador to UAE

Pakistan’s current ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, has been appointed as the new ambassador to Russia.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved new ambassadorial appointments for Pakistan.

According to reports, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommended two key diplomatic postings, which have now been approved.

Shafqat Ali Khan, currently serving as the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has been appointed as Pakistan’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Khan previously served as Pakistan’s ambassador to Poland and Russia.

Additionally, Pakistan’s current ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, has been appointed as the new ambassador to Russia. Meanwhile, Khalid Jamali, the current ambassador to Russia, will be assigned the position of Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

These appointments reflect Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to strengthen diplomatic relations with key countries.
