ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a briefing for foreign ambassadors and envoys about the current security situation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
During the session, Pakistan reaffirmed its firm resolve to safeguard its national security and territorial integrity amid evolving regional dynamics.
According to a statement issued by the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, Foreign Secretary Aamna Baloch highlighted Pakistan’s legitimate security concerns.
She emphasized that Pakistan remains fully committed to defending its sovereignty and ensuring the protection of its national interests under all circumstances.
The spokesperson stated Pakistan once again delivered a clear and categorical message to the Afghan authorities, urging them to prevent their territory from being used for terrorist activities against any other country.
The Foreign Office expressed its expectation that the Taliban government will honor and implement the commitments it made to the international community during the Doha agreements.
Reacting to recent remarks made by the spokesperson of the Afghan government, the Foreign Office spokesperson urged the Afghan representative to concentrate on issues pertaining to Afghanistan and avoid commenting on matters that lie outside their jurisdiction.
The spokesperson reiterated that Pakistan will continue to adopt all necessary political, diplomatic, and security measures to uphold its national security, protect its sovereignty, and contribute to the stability and peace of the broader region.
