PESHAWAR: A foreign tourist has committed suicide in Peshawar, according to the police on Tuesday.
Police identified the tourist as Joshua Moises, aged 28 years, from Italy. The deceased had been issued a visit visa on October 9 and had reached Bacha Khan International Airport on October 18.
He was staying in a flat of a private housing society in the city where he was found dead.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police Kashif Aftab Abbasi, the tourist killed himself by hanging from the ceiling fan of the room.
He said a piece of rope, a suicide note, his mobile phone and other belongings have been collected.
The authorities concerned have been informed for onward communication with the ministry Vincennes, said the SSP.
