Four killed, five injured in car-bike collision
Doctors at PIMS say condition of four injured critical.
ISLAMABAD: Four people were killed and five others injured in a road traffic accident on Islamabad Expressway on Monday morning.
Rescue and Islamabad traffic police officers said the accident occured on the expressway near Dhoke Kala Khan.
The traffic police said the accident occurred due to reckless driving by the car driver. A motorcycle was crashed by the speeding car after which the car overturned. The police also said the car was carrying passengers more than its capacity.
As a result, those on bike and in the car were injured. Four of them lost their lives while five others were injured.
They were shifted to PIMS hospital where doctors said the condition of four of the injured was critical.
The police said legal action had been initiated against the car driver for violations of the traffic rules, including rash driving.
