LONDON: A devastating house fire in northwest London’s Brent area has claimed the lives of four members of a British Pakistani family, according to British media reports.
The victims include a 43-year-old woman, her 15-year-old daughter, 8-year-old son, and 4-year-old son. Two other members of the same family — a 70-year-old woman and a teenage girl — were rescued and taken to the hospital with injuries.
Authorities report that the blaze completely destroyed the family’s three-storey home. In a significant development, police have arrested one individual on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident.
