QUETTA: At least four militants were killed and two others wounded in an armed confrontation between local tribes and the militant group “Fitna al-Hindustan” in the Korki area of Balochistan.

According to officials, the incident began when militants launched an attack on peaceful residents of the area. In response, local tribes mobilized and engaged the assailants, leading to an intense exchange of gunfire.

During the clash, one member of the local tribe was martyred and two others sustained injuries.

Authorities stated that the militants had repeatedly refused to vacate the area despite persistent demands from local tribes. Faced with the group’s continued hostility and “malicious intentions,” tribesmen decided to defend their land and people.

Security forces have since reinforced their presence in the region to maintain law and order, while investigations into the incident are underway.
