In Balochistan, security forces conducted an operation under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 near Mal Madrasa in Sohbatpur district following information about the presence of militants between Mal Madrasa and Batigo.
According to security sources, an exchange of fire took place during the operation, in which one militant was killed while another managed to escape. Weapons and a motorcycle were recovered from the slain militant, who was identified by the sources as an alleged member of Fitna al-Hindustan.
Meanwhile, security forces continued operations against militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the Azm-e-Istehkam framework.
Security sources said an intelligence-based operation was conducted in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, resulting in the killing of three alleged militants. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the slain militants.
The sources said militant hideouts in Mir Ali and surrounding areas were precisely targeted and destroyed. Security forces also foiled an attempt by militants to stop a ration truck near Mir Ali Bazaar.
