KARACHI: The dead bodies of four women were found in a flat located in the old area of the metropolitan city, police said on Saturday.
The dead bodies were recovered from the seventh floor of the apartment building in Lea Market area of Karachi, said the police.
The deceased were a 51 years old women, her 19 years old daughter, 18 years old daughter-in-law and a granddaughter, aged 13 years.
Police said that the initial investigation showed that the women had been tortured to death. The throats of the victims were slit snd there were torture marks on their bodies, said a police officer.
The police shifted the dead bodies to hospital for postmortem and legal procedures.
The head of the family Muhammad Farooq said that he and his two sons were not present in house when the incident occurred. He said he was ignorant about the causes and who were behind the gruesome murder of their family members.
