At the G7 summit held in Canada, the member countries expressed strong support for Israel and labeled Iran as a source of regional instability, according to international news agencies.

In a joint statement, the G7 nations emphasized the need to reduce tensions across the Middle East, called for a resolution to the crisis involving Iran, and urged a ceasefire in Gaza.

The statement also stressed the importance of protecting civilians in the ongoing conflicts.

The G7 reiterated its long-standing position that Iran must not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons, and reaffirmed Israel’s right to self-defense. The bloc reiterated its commitment to Israel’s security.

In a significant development, U.S. President Donald Trump refused to sign the joint G7 communiqué, which included calls for de-escalation in the Israel-Iran conflict.
