ISLAMABAD: A district and sessions court in Islamabad has declared former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur a proclaimed offender and issued arrest warrants against him in a case involving the alleged recovery of liquor and weapons.

Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan Chishti announced the decision during the hearing of the case after Gandapur failed to appear before the court despite repeated summons. The court noted his continuous non-appearance and issued an oral order declaring him a proclaimed offender.

The case against Ali Amin Gandapur was registered at Bara Kahu Police Station. The court has directed law enforcement authorities to arrest the accused and present him before the court.

Earlier hearings in the case were also adjourned due to Gandapur’s absence. The latest order marks an escalation in legal proceedings against the former chief minister.
