According to the WFP, the number of people receiving food assistance has been reduced from 1.6 million to 1.1 million.

The agency has also cut food rations in Gaza by 50 per cent. Meanwhile, the number of prepared meals distributed daily has been reduced from 250,000 to 150,000, according to the report.

In hard-to-reach areas of Gaza, some families are now receiving a meal only once every two days, further worsening conditions for vulnerable communities.

The WFP estimates that around 1.4 million people in Gaza are facing severe food shortages. The agency said limited funding has forced it to scale back assistance despite the continuing humanitarian needs.

There are growing challenges facing relief operations in Gaza, where access to adequate food remains a critical concern for hundreds of thousands of families.
