LAHORE: The Punjab government has urged residents to exercise caution and follow all safety measures to ensure a safe and joyful Basant celebrations which come to conclusion in Lahore today.
In a statement, Ahmad Javed Qazi, Secretary Home Department, said that comprehensive administrative and security arrangements had been implemented across the city to prevent accidents and maintain public order.
He said that all relevant government departments were e fully alert and actively performing their duties to safeguard citizens during the festivities.
Qazi also appealed to the public to act responsibly, protect their own lives, and ensure the safety and happiness of their families.
He warned that strict action will be taken against anyone violating safety regulations, as the government aimed to minimize risks associated with traditional Basant activities, including kite flying and other celebratory events.
