According to sources, the miscellaneous review petition was filed by the Islamabad Chief Commissioner after addressing the objections raised by the Registrar’s Office.

The government has maintained that there are legal flaws in the court’s decision and that jail rules were not properly considered while issuing the order. The petition further states that the government was not made a party to the main case concerning Imran Khan’s hospital transfer.

Meanwhile, Imran Khan was taken from Adiala Jail to Shifa International Hospital under tight security late Thursday night for a medical check-up. A team of specialist doctors examined him at the hospital.

After undergoing the medical examination, Imran Khan was shifted back to Adiala Jail under heavy security in the early hours of Friday morning. Jail sources said he was subsequently moved to his cell.

The government has requested the court to allow the miscellaneous application and review its August 18 decision regarding Imran Khan’s transfer to hospital.
