Islamabad: The federal government has issued a notification amending the Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 1993.
Under the new amendment, overseas Pakistani women will be granted a relaxation of up to 7 years in the upper age limit for federal government jobs.
The relaxation will apply only to initial appointments in federal civil services and is exclusively for female candidates who are classified as overseas Pakistanis under Section 2 of the Emigration Ordinance, 1979.
Officials stated that the amendment is part of the government’s broader efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in the public sector.
It aims to recognize the talent and experience of Pakistani women living abroad and provide them with opportunities to contribute to the country’s development.
