According to the Cabinet Division, the summit is expected to take place in August or September 2027 and will be attended by heads of state and government, along with senior delegations from international organisations.

The Cabinet Division said secure and reliable transportation would be required for visiting dignitaries in accordance with established security protocols.

Officials noted that the latest bulletproof vehicles currently available to the government are 2016 models and do not meet the requirements set for the upcoming SCO summit.

Following consultations at various forums, the government has determined that 45 bulletproof vehicles represent the minimum requirement for the event. In addition, around 300 non-bulletproof vehicles are expected to be hired.

The Cabinet Division described the SCO summit as a major international gathering for Pakistan and said that appropriate security and logistical arrangements would be required for the event.
