In a statement, Sanaullah said the prime minister had written two letters to the opposition leader regarding the appointment of the chief election commissioner and members of the Election Commission. The government was now awaiting a response, he added.
He urged the opposition leader to clarify when he intended to meet the prime minister.
Sanaullah also rejected the demand for holding the meeting at a third location, insisting that the meeting between the prime minister and the opposition leader would take place at the Prime Minister's House.
He said the Prime Minister's House was state property, not the personal property of any individual, adding that similar demands had been made in the past but would not be accepted.
