WASHINGTON: US Vice President J.D. Vance said has warned that Green Card holders do not have the right to permanent residence in the United States, and a large number of illegal immigrants are expected to be expelled in the coming months.
Vance said in an interview with an American TV Green Card holders do not have the same rights as U.S. citizens, and if the government decides to deport someone, they will have no legal right to stop it.
To me, he maintained, this is not a matter of fundamental freedom of speech, but of national security, and American citizens have different rights than those who are Green Card holders or students.
Claiming a 95% reduction in the number of illegal immigrants, he said strict action would also be taken against those staying in the US with student visas.
It should be noted that US President Donald Trump started taking the strictest measures against illegal immigrants as soon as he took office and hundreds of people living illegally have been expelled so far.
Many Pakistanis have also been affected by the sweeping action launched against immigrants by the Trump administration.
