Groups Announced for Over-40 T20 Cricket World Cup in Karachi

KARACHI: The Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association has officially unveiled the groupings for the inaugural Over-40 T20 Cricket World Cup, which will be hosted in Pakistan from November 21, 2025.

The tournament, featuring seasoned cricketers aged 40 and above, will bring together veteran stars from around the globe in a celebration of skill, experience, and sporting spirit.

Group One consists of hosts Pakistan alongside West Indies, South Africa, Hong Kong, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates. Group Two includes Australia, the United States, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Saudi Arabia, and a composite “Rest of the World” team.

Organizers say the event aims to showcase the enduring passion for cricket among senior players, while also promoting Pakistan as a hub for international sports. Matches will be played across premier venues in Karachi, with fans expected to turn out in large numbers to watch their former heroes in action.

The Over-40 T20 World Cup is set to be one of the most high-profile veterans’ tournaments ever staged in the country, rekindling nostalgia and offering a unique blend of experience and entertainment.
