ISLAMABAD: Haj pilgrims from Islamabad and Karachi will benefit from the Road to Makkah project again this year, officials said on Wednesday.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has sent a letter to the Civil Aviation Authority in continuation of a memorandum from the Saudi embassy. The letter mentioned various arrangements at both airports regarding the Road to Makkah project.

According to a memorandum, immigration for pilgrims under the Road to Makkah project will be conducted at Islamabad and Karachi airports.

Those traveling to perform Haj will be provided facilities under the Road to Makkah project, and their immigration process will take place at Islamabad and Karachi airports instead of Saudi Arabia.

The memorandum also stated that the Civil Aviation Authority should allocate space for the Saudi immigration staff.
