Under the new directives, all officers and employees from BPS-16 to BPS-20 will be required to submit applications for all types of leave through the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) portal after August 31, 2026.

According to the department’s instructions, leave applications submitted on paper or through the traditional process will no longer be accepted after the deadline. Employees must submit their applications through the HRMIS portal before proceeding on leave and must also obtain approval from the relevant authorized officer.

The department has warned that any employee who remains absent from duty without submitting a leave application through HRMIS and obtaining formal approval will be considered absent without authorization. Disciplinary action may also be taken against officers or employees who attempt to obtain leave through any channel other than HRMIS.

All section officers have been directed to process leave applications exclusively through the HRMIS portal and ensure strict implementation of the new online system.

The Health Department said employees facing difficulties in submitting leave applications or using the HRMIS portal can contact Dr. Allah Bakhsh Mushtaq, Chief Technical Officer (BPS-19), who has been designated as the focal person.

The department has also provided healthdeptsindh@gmail.com for technical assistance related to the online leave system.

The move is aimed at digitizing the department’s administrative procedures and making the leave approval process more systematic and transparent.
