According to the traffic police spokesperson, the movement of dumpers, tankers, goods transport vehicles and other heavy vehicles will remain prohibited in the city on August 25 and 26.
The restriction will remain in place from 11 Rabi-ul-Awwal until the night of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, as authorities prepare for processions and rallies being held across the city.
Traffic arrangements have been tightened to facilitate citizens and ensure the smooth flow of traffic during the religious observances.
Owners and operators of goods transport vehicles, dumpers, water tankers and other heavy vehicles have been urged to cooperate with the administration and avoid entering or operating in the city during the restricted period.
Citizens have also been advised to follow traffic police instructions and cooperate with authorities to help maintain traffic flow and public safety.
