BEIRUT: Hizbullah has claimed that it fired over 300 rockets and drones laden with explosives on Israeli installations last night.
The militant group said that the attacks were carried out to take revenge of the killing of its commander by Israeli forces. Media reports said that Hizbullah carried out the attacks on Israeli military installations in south Israel late at night.
In a statement, the militant group said that we carried out 320 rocket and drone attacks on Israel in retaliation to the killing of our commander Fawad Shakkar and this was the first phase of the attacks on Israeli installations which has been completed.
On the other hand, Israel has announced an emergency situation for the next 48 hours and askef its citizen to remain indoor. Israeli Air Force planes were also seen carrying out attacks on different parts of Lebanon to target the Hizbullah.
Soon after the attacks by Hizbullah on Israeli targets, all international flights to snd from the Israeli capital of Tel Aviv were suspended.
Since October last year, Israel has continued a war on Gaza during which its forces killed over 40,000 civilians, including women and children. Despite international calls and protests by human rights activists the world over, Israel has refused to stop the war.
