CAIRO: Hizbullah on Friday said it fired over 200 rockets and carried out drone attacks on key targets inside Israel in retaliation to the killing of one of its leaders by the Zionist forces.
According to a foreign news agency, Hizbullah commander Muhammad Nasir was killed in an attack by the Israeli forces, prompting the Lebanon-based group to fire rockets on Israel.
The group claimed that it targeted at least 10 military targets inside Israel. The Israeli authorities confirmed the attacks and announced a red alert, but said there were no casualties.
Since October 7, 2023 attacks in Israeli areas from Gaza, the Zionist state has killed over 38,000 people in Gaza. Despite United Nations resolutions and International Court ruling, Israel has refused to ceasefire.
