KARACHI: The immigration cell of the Federal Investigation Agency has foiled a human smuggling bid by arrested four persons, including a human smuggling agent, at Jinnah International Airport Karachi.
In a statement, the FIA said that the immigration cell arrested four persons including a human smuggling agent who were trying to travel to Europe via a Central Asian country.
The human smuggling agent identified as Abdul Shakoor had promised the three persons to send him to Poland for Rs1.4 million each and the arrested men had made an advanced payment to the agent.
During the investigation, the FIA officials found out that he had contact with an Indian human smuggler based in Azerbaijan. The arrested men were first to travel to Azerbaijan from where the Indian agent was to send them to Europe.
The arrested persons were handed over to the human smuggling cell of the Federal Investigation Agency for further investigation.
