CAIRO: Hundreds of people took to the streets in Israel to protest against the ongoing war with Iran, despite a ban on public gatherings.
According to Arab media reports, demonstrators participated in rallies and chanted slogans against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Protesters carried placards with messages such as “Stop bombing, start talking” and “End the endless war.”
The demonstrators also called for an end to military actions in Iran, Lebanon, and Gaza, as well as what they described as organized violence in the West Bank.
Clashes reportedly broke out between police and protesters during the demonstrations, leading to the arrest of several participants.
The protests highlight growing public dissent within Israel over the continuation and expansion of regional conflict.
