VIENNA: The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has commended Pakistan for its steady progress in civil nuclear technology, highlighting strong cooperation with the Agency.
In a social media message following his meeting with Dr. Raja Ali Raza Anwar, Chairman of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), during the 69th IAEA General Conference in Vienna, Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi praised the country’s engagement.
During the meeting, both officials reviewed multiple ongoing cooperation areas under various IAEA initiatives. They discussed how Pakistan has been applying nuclear science and technology across sectors including energy, health, agriculture, and environmental management.
Dr. Anwar reiterated Pakistan’s firm resolve to continue collaborating with the IAEA and its Member States in advancing peaceful nuclear applications, promoting sustainable development, and improving quality of life for people throughout the region.
