Imran, Qureshi, others indicted in GHQ attack case

Case is registered against 143 people in RA Bazar police station of Rawalpindi.

RAWALPINDI: Jailed PTI founder and former prime minister Imran Khan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi and about 100 others were on Thursday indicted in the GHQ attack case.

Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Amjad Ali Shah conducted hearing of the case in the Adiala jail. Besides Imran, Qureshi, Sheikh Rashid, Umer Ayub and Zartaj Gul appeared in the court. The judge after the completion of arguments by lawyers of the accused and the prosecution indicted the accused.

However, the accused pleaded not guilty.

The case was registered against 143 people in RA Bazar police station of Rawalpindi. The court has already declared 23 accused in the GHQ attack case as proclaimed offenders. These POs include PTI leaders Zulfi Bulkhari, Murad Saeed, and Shahbaz Gul.

As many as 70 PTI leaders, including Imran Khan, are accused of planning and executing the plan to attack the GHQ snd other military installations following the arrest of the party founder in 2023.
