RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan is currently held in solitary confinement, with no clear information on his health or well-being.
This was stated by Imran’s sister Aleema Khan while speaking outside the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court on Friday.
She criticized the government for not complying with court orders. She claimed that the cases against the PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi were being deliberately delayed to prevent their bail.
“Recently, warrants were issued, but the presiding judge was on leave. Despite our request for an extension until Monday, our plea was ignored,” she said. Aleema Khan added that she appeared in court today, but the hearing was postponed.
Referring to the planned visit of KP chief minister Sohail Afridi to Sindh, she praised the Sindh government for promising his unhindered movement. She however criticized the Punjab government, stating, “The Punjab government lacks a popular mandate, which is why they are blocking our routes.”
