Imran, other PTI leaders booked in eight new cases

Cases registered in different police stations of Islamabad under terrorism and other charges.

ISLAMABAD: PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi and scores of PTI leaders have been nominated in eight first information reports (FIRs) in different police stations of Islamabad.

Moreover, hundreds of workers of the PTI have also been booked in these cases registered over the botched up protest march and rally by the PTI in Islamabad.

All these PTI leaders and workers nominated in the fresh cases have been charged with inciting the public against the government, terrorism and the newly formed peaceful assembly ordnance of 2024.

The PTI founder and his wife have been nominated on the FIRs and charger with inciting people and party supporters against the government and attaching police abd other law enforcement agencies personnel.

According to the FIRs, participants of the protest rally were carrying arms and ammunition.

At a press conference, Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa and Inspector General of Police Islamabad Ali Nasir Rizvi displayed a large cache of arms which they claimed were recovered from the protesters. They said that around 500 of the protesters had been arrested in Islamabad.
