ISLAMABAD: PTI secretary general Salman Akram Raja has stated that PTI founder Imran Khan did not accept his resignation.
Speaking to the media, Raja mentioned that the political committee will hold another meeting regarding the elections, and the committee will make a decision on electoral matters.
On the other hand, Alima Khan clarified that there was no confrontation with Salman Akram Raja. Opposition leaders Umar Ayub and Shibli Faraz continue to fight their cases in court.
When asked by journalists about the reasons for his resignation, Raja replied that he would not comment on the matter at this time. Despite announcing his resignation via Twitter, he declined to provide further details when questioned, noting that he would refrain from commenting for now, especially as he had previously announced a resignation and later retracted it.
Raja’s statement comes amid growing political tensions within PTI, with party members debating strategy ahead of upcoming elections. Observers say his resignation, even if unaccepted, reflects underlying disagreements and challenges in party leadership and decision-making.
