RAWALPINDI: The cell of PTI founder and former prime minister Imran Khan in the Adiala jail has been declared as a police station.
After declaring the cell circle IV in the jail in which Imran Khan has been kept, police officials have been deployed there who will perform duty in three shifts.
According to media reports, the cell of Imran Khan has been declared as the police station of New Town. The direction to declare the cell as a police station was issued by the city police officer of Rawalpindi.
In this regard, a letter was also written to the superintendent of the Adiala jail from the office of the city police officer.
An official said that the objective of declaring the cell of the former prime minister in the jail was to keep an eye on jim and ensure round the clock security surveillance.
