ISLAMABAD: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has issued a notice summoning Noreen Niazi to appear before its Islamabad office on July 20, 2026, in connection with an inquiry into alleged social media activity.

It may be mentioned that Noreen has been accused of terming last year’s Maraka-e-Haq with India as a ploy between India and Pakistan. In a YouTube interview, she is reported to have stated that India avoided attacking Pakistan on the request of Israel, claiming that Pakistan was then going to have diplomatic relations with Israel.

According to the notice, Niazi sister of Imran Khan, has been called under Section 160 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (Cr.P.C.) to record her statement regarding allegations of spreading false and inflammatory content against state institutions on social media.

She has been directed to appear at the Cyber Crime Office in Sector G-13/3, Islamabad, at 12:00 p.m. on the scheduled date.

The notice further states that failure to comply with the summons could result in legal action under Section 174 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). The investigation is being conducted by the NCCIA in accordance with applicable legal procedures.
