PTI workers receive Imran’s sisters after release from jail

JHELUM: Two sisters of former prime minister Imran Khan who were arrested from D Chowk in Islamabad on October 5 have been released from the district jail of Jhelum.

Earlier, an Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad accepted their bail application. When Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan were set free from the jail, a large number of PTI workers were present outside the jail.

The party workers garlanded the two women and chanted slogans.

Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan had led a group of PTI supporters and activists and managed to reach D Chowk in the Red Zone of Islamabad violating Section 144.

The police including women officials took the two sisters of the PTI founder into custody and shifted them to the Secretariat police station.

It may be mentioned here that two days ago the wife of Imran Khan Bushra Bibi was also released in the Toshakhana case. Bushra Bibi after her release from Adiala jail reported reached Peshawar.
