Indian Superstar Injured During Film Shoot
MUMBAI: Indian superstar Ram Charan was injured while filming an action scene for his upcoming movie Peddi, but was later discharged from hospital after receiving initial medical treatment.
According to Indian media reports, the incident occurred on March 24 during the shooting of an action sequence, when the actor sustained an injury near his eye. He was immediately taken to hospital, where doctors treated him and gave him four stitches.
His team confirmed that the injury was minor and located above the eye, with no damage to his eyesight. They reassured fans that there is no cause for concern and that the actor has already resumed work.
Peddi, a sports action drama directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is scheduled for release on April 30, 2026. The film revolves around a rural cricket tournament and features a star-studded cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu, and Boman Irani.
The film’s music is composed by A.R. Rahman, and a recently released song titled “Rai Rai Ra Ra” showcases Ram Charan’s energetic dance performance.
