LONDON: Indian miscreants attacked the building of the Pakistan High Commission, smashing its windows and throwing red paint.
Officials of the High Commission informed the Metropolitan Police, after which the police launched a search operation to locate those involved.
According to sources, the attackers are believed to be linked to Indian extremist groups who had staged a protest outside the Pakistan High Commission on Friday evening. During the protest, due to indecent behavior and misconduct, the Metropolitan Police arrested two Indian nationals on the spot.
This incident comes at a time when tensions between Pakistan and India have notably escalated following the firing incident that took place on April 22 at the famous tourist destination of Pahalgam in Indian-administered Kashmir.
Officials from the Pakistan High Commission have strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a serious violation of diplomatic norms, and have expressed hope that the London police will soon bring the culprits to justice.
The Metropolitan Police stated that they are reviewing security camera footage to identify and apprehend those responsible, and that a full investigation is underway.
