The notification directed Umrah pilgrims to obtain a NADRA vaccination card before departure and said airlines must ensure that passengers travelling for Umrah possess and present valid vaccination certificates.
According to the notification, the Federal Government Civil Dispensary will serve as the sole centre for vaccination of international travellers.
Passengers who need to receive vaccination at the airport have been advised to arrive at least six hours before their scheduled flight.
Vaccination and online registration facilities will be available at the international departure area, the notification added.
The new requirement will apply from September 14 and is aimed at ensuring that international travellers meet the prescribed vaccination requirements before leaving the country.
