Iran must not have nuclear bomb, Trump says after attacks
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has said that Iran must not be allowed to have a nuclear bomb. His statement came after Israel launched airstrikes on Iran.
Speaking to American media, Trump confirmed he was aware of the attack in advance but said the United States had no role in it. He also said he hopes Iran will return to negotiations.
Trump added that many people in Iran’s leadership were affected and some “will never return.”
Earlier today, Israel launched a military attack on Iran. The airstrikes targeted nuclear and military sites. According to reports, the head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, Major General Hossein Salami, Chief of Armed Forces General Mohammad Bagheri, and a nuclear scientist were killed.
The attack marks a serious rise in tensions between the two countries and could lead to further conflict in the region.
