Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran had consistently maintained this position during negotiations with Washington mediated by Pakistan and Qatar.
He said it was unrealistic to expect peace in one part of the region while hostilities continued elsewhere, stressing that regional conflicts were interconnected and that tensions must end on all fronts to achieve sustainable peace.
Araghchi also claimed that Iranian missile strikes had destroyed dozens of US fighter aircraft on the ground.
He warned that if Iran faced another military attack, Tehran would respond with full force.
The claims regarding the destruction of US aircraft could not be independently verified.
