According to Reuters, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei issued the warning on social media a day after the IAEA Board of Governors adopted a resolution against Tehran.

The 35-member IAEA Board decided through the resolution to refer Iran’s alleged violations of its nuclear non-proliferation obligations to the United Nations Security Council.

Rezaei described the resolution as “illegal, technically baseless and completely political,” and rejected it as unacceptable. He also alleged that pressure from the United States and Israel was evident in the decision.

The Iranian official warned that such actions by the IAEA could undermine the global nuclear non-proliferation system and damage diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving nuclear disputes.
